Singing the same tune? Now Kejriwal govt to use Kanhaiya's 'azaadi slogan' in ad campaign
It looks like Arvind Kejriwal government is in full mood to cash on Kanhaiya Kumar's azaadi slogan.
Following the tone set by JNU student leader, the Delhi government has decided to start a new advertisement campaign with 'azadi' as the catchword . Reportedly, AAP Government is taking this step with the motive to publicise the work done by it in the national capital.
When asked about the same, a Delhi government official said hoardings and posters have been installed in different parts of the city. He claimed that similar advertisements will also be placed in newspapers and aired on radio.
Delhi Water Minister Kapil Mishra too tweeted about the contents of a few posters. "Have given azadi from inflation" and "Azadi from wrong bills", one of the posters read.
'Azadi' hogged the popular discourse recently amidst the JNU row which saw a sedition case being registered against Kanhaiya.
Earlier this month, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had tweeted, "Hum kya mangtey-Azadi. L-G ke hastakshep se azadi."
