Yuvraj Singh suffered an ankle injury in India's crunch game against Australia in Mohali. Manish Pandey has been named his replacement.

dia all-rounder Yuvraj Singh is has been ruled of the ongoing ICC World Twenty20, meaning he will miss the second semi-final against the West Indies on Thursday. Yuvraj sustained an ankle injury against Australia on Sunday.

Batsman Manish Pandey has been called in as cover for the injured all-rounder. However a final call on the playing XI will be taken prior to the start of the match.

Team director Ravi Shastri said, "scans have reavealed that Yuvraj has not not suffered any fractures and the team will miss his services."

Meanwhile, Shastri wants batsman Ajinkya Rahane to replace Yuvraj against West Indies tomorrow. Skipper MS Dhoni is reportedly keen on all-rounder Pawan Negi.

Pandey could be the dark horse because of his heroic hundred that helped India beat Australia in the last of a five-match ODI series at the Sydney Cricket Ground earlier this year. Rahane has not found favour with Dhoni in limited-overs cricket and while the captain had spoken highly of Negi, who is an able batsman down the order and is more than handy with his slow left-arm spin.
