Akkineni Nagarjuna is already making young crop of heroes stand on their toes with the handsome looks, choice of scripts and recent box office success. Now, he has got a rare opportunity to make stars who are much younger to him go green with envy.
If 'Oopiri' hits the bull's eye, Nagarjuna has every possibility of becoming the only hero other than Prabhas to have crossed a share of Rs 100 crore-mark in a Calendar Year. As 'Soggade Chinni Nayana' collected Rs 48.73 crore, the Telugu adaptation of 'The Intouchables' has to mint at least Rs 52 crore approximately to reach the milestone.
Earlier, Prabhas managed to enter the Rs 100 crore club with a share of Rs 194 crore for Telugu version of 'Baahubali - The Beginning' alone. Both Pawan Kalyan (Gabbar Singh, CMGR) and NTR (Temper, Nannaku Prematho) fell short of the feat by just few crores.
It's now Nag's turn to create history and most of the credit goes to him If he could do so, whereas Rajamouli takes the whole credit for Baahubali box office records. Can 'Oopiri' live up to the humongous expectations?
