It is emerging that some last minute problems are plaguing the release of Nagarjuna and Karthi's ‘Oopiri’ and its Tamil version ‘Thozha’. Some one reportedly filed a case in a Chennai court that they are the official re-make rights holder of the movie's Original, French film – ‘The Untouchables’.
The case will come to hearing tomorrow and the movie release will depend on the outcome of that case. We all know that the makers have admitted that their film is adapted from the French film. The other day, Nagarjuna said that it is not a re-make of ‘The Untouchables’ but an adaptation of the film.
If at all, ‘Oopiri’ release is stalled, it will be advantage for ‘Run’ which was supposed to lose most of its theaters to ‘Oopiri’ from the third day. Nagarjuna, Karthi and Tamannah have pinned high hopes on the film and they have aggressively promoted the film in Telugu and Tamil. Let’s see what the court decides tomorrow.
