Normally Ashada masam (month) discounts starts in July/Aug. But looks like this year Ashada masam discounts started early in overseas market for Tollywood biggies! Two biggies of 2016 Sardar Gabbar Singh and Bramhsotavam brought for very high prices Rs.10 Cr and Rs.13 Cr respectively for overseas market. Now they are struggling to re-sell to local exhibitors. Local exhibitors especially in USA are scared to buy at the price quoted by distributors. Now as the release dates approaching fast distributors slashing their prices and trying to sell for discounted prices than quoted originally and trying to be in safe zone.

At least Rs.2 to 3 Cr. loss expected for each movie unless they get extraordinary reviews and mouth talk which doesn’t seems to be possible at this time. Sardaar Gabbar Singh graph started going down day by day after the trailer and audio release. Trailer gave an impression that it’s another routine mass masala. These kind of routine movies hard to get good reviews and positive mouth talk as audience and critics both looking for something different and new. Recent hits of 2016 like Nenu Sailaja to Oopiri have been proved that.

Bramhostavam shooting also going like a serial and hero itself is not happy over the shooting.  Also not carrying much positive talk as of now. Right now safe points for Sardaar Gabbar Singh is $2.8 million from USA and for Bramhostavam $3.8 million from USA other than rest of the countries which is not that an easy task.Stay tuned for the exclusive live and early updates for these summer releases!
