Usually films with class appeal will do miracles at overseas box office. And Nagarjuna's latest flick Oopiri proves it yet again. The class and emotional saga with limited release owing to the arrival of Hollywood film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice today, got good openings through premiere shows in USA. The film's screen count is likely to be increased from next week.
Oopiri raked $76,805 (51.39 lakhs) from 74 locations in USA. With positive reviews and encouraging mouth talk, raking one million dollar is cake walk for the film, predict analysts. This is in fact second biggest opening for Nagarjuna after Manam which collected $95,473 gross on opening day.
Expectations were quite high on Oopiri, before the release. Director Vamsi Paidipally succeeded in reaching all the expectations by blending all the emotions rightly. There are so many enthralling elements in the film.
Nagarjuna joined million dollar club with Manam that minted around $ 1.5 M for full run. His last movie Soggade Chinni Nayana failed to join the club. The Kalyan Krishna directorial collected $0.84 M approx. Let's wait and see whether Oopiri cross the Manam final figure or not!
