Earlier Rebel Star Krishnam Raj expressed his desire to remake the devotional flick ‘Bhakta Kannappa’ and planned to rope Baahubali star Prabhas to play the lead role. Prabhas who also wanted to fulfill the desire of his uncle, has given green signal to Krishnam Raju but requested to start the project when he will become free from his prior commitments as he is busy in historic and war drama “Baahubali:The Conclusion” and after Baahubali 2 he will join the set of Sujeeth’s upcoming directorial venture. On the other side other big family has also announced the same title ‘Bhakta Kannappa’ in which Manchu Vishnu will play the titled role Kannappa and the upcoming devotional drama will be based on the life of Lord Shiva’s devotee Bhakta Kannappa and the movie will be directed by Tanikella Bharani whereas Manchu Lakshmi will produce the movie with the association of Hollywood production house. It is also heard that Mohan Babu will play an important role. We have to wait and watch whether Manchu or Rebel will become successful to impress the audiences.
